My wife had a medical appointment downtown so I decided to kill some time with my camera in the Halifax Public Gardens, one of my favourite locations in the city. Signs of spring are everywhere as the flowers are blooming and the trees are sprouting new leaves. Even the birds were excited as they were singing away as I wandered about. Kudos to the gardeners as the place was absolutely gorgeous!

Did you know that the gardens are as old as Canada? They were officially opened in 1867, the same year as confederation. For more information check out the Friends of the Public Gardens website.
