Dumping Day is the day fishers in Areas 33 & 34 (Nova Scotia’s South Shore) place their lobster traps in the water. This year it was delayed for 24 hours due to high winds and rough seas but they got the go ahead to leave at 7:00 am on November 26. It was chilly at first but the temperature rose as the sun climbed into the sky and everyone raced to get to their favourite spots. We visited three wharves in Halifax County – Lower Prospect, West Dover and Peggy’s Cove. There was plenty of action in all three locations. Enjoy!
