Big Tancook Island is a hidden gem located in beautiful Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. It’s a 1 hour drive from Halifax to Chester where you catch a passenger ferry to take you to the island. I was “fortunate” to share the ferry with a group of kids from a summer day camp. I took my mountain bike with me so I could explore as much of the island as possible during my visit.
