My buddy Kevin and I headed to Miners Marsh in Kentville one chilly morning with the hopes of capturing some bird action. I noticed this Common Grackle perched on a bullrush with the sun behind him. I prayed that he’d squawk (they don’t have a great singing voice) so that I might get lucky and capture the backlit vapour trail from his breath. He didn’t disappoint!
