Here are some of the most popular images from my Facebook Page for the month of October. There’s a lot of fall scenery, a cute salamander and a pic of Suzy for the canine lovers out there. Enjoy!

Suzy waiting impatiently for me to catch up. She’s older than me (in dog years) but she’s in much better shape! Taken along the shore at Polly’s Cove.

Gorgeous golden hour light on a patch of evergreen trees along the shore of Cranberry Lake in Hubley.

A dilapidated old farmhouse in Baker’s Settlement, Lunenburg County. An amazing tree decked out in fall colours and a small herd of cows make this photo one of my all time favourites!

A stately old birch tree framed by beautiful fall colours. Located in Jerry Lawrence Provincial Park, Upper Tantallon.

A gorgeous autumn setting along the St. Margaret’s Bay Rail Trail in Upper Tantallon. I really like the golden ferns in the foreground.

A pretty blue hour shot of Round Lake in Upper Tantallon taken from the St. margaret’s Bay Rail Trail. The sky was completely socked in when I first arrived but then this happened…

The same scene as the previous image taken the following morning. This time I placed the birch trees on the left to I could frame the shot with those spectacular yellow leaves.

We were walking along a wooded path at Long Lake Provincial Park when my wife Kathy noticed this splash of colour along the shore of Cranberry Pond. It was just a few minutes before sunset so I had to rush down to the shoreline to capture this scene. Everything turned dark and muted shortly after I pressed the shutter.

I spotted this twisted tree stump as I was strolling along a trail in the Wentworth Valley with my buddy Kevin. It reminds me of a dancer spinning across the forest floor. The pretty yellow leaves make a great backdrop for the brown wood.

A chilly October morning created a silvery landscape along the shore of Cranberry Lake in Hubley. It made getting out of my warm bed worth the suffering!

I was out with my dog Suzy as she was doing her business before bedtime when I noticed this spotted salamander perched on a 2′ x 4″ on our deck. I didn’t have my “good” camera with me so I grabbed my iPhone and took a quick shot before he scurried away. I used a flashlight to light him up. Look at those amazing yellow spots!
